The answer is Elisabeth Proctor.

Elisabeth Proctor is a character in the playwright's Arthur Miller's play "The Crucible " ( 1953). In this fictional story the author describes the hunt for Massachusetts Bay colonists that are accused of witchcraft in the year 1692, and compares this chase to the government's chase for suspected communists in the mid - 20th century.

Elisabeth's husband John had an affair with a woman called Abigail, Elisabeth can not forgive him and uses these words as a way of accusing him of being unfaithful. By the end of this play it turns out that John is indeed the good man his wife thought he was.
