Move all terms to the left: 2t + 15 -(40-3t. Add all numbers together: 2t - ( -3t + 40) + 15=0. We get rid of parentheses: 2t + 3t - 40 + 15 = 0. We add all numbers together: 5t - 25 = 0: We move all terms containing t to: 5t =25, T= 25/5, T =5. So T= 5 is your answer

Answer:

t=5

Explanation:

Add 3t to the other side to cancel it out

2t+3t+15=40

Subtract 15 to the other side to cancel it out

2t+3t=40-15

Simplify

5t=25

t=5
