Step-by-step explanation:

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants convert light energy into sugar to fuel plant cells. In this process two stages are involved:

Stage one: Light reactions

It takes place in grana, which is light dependent process. In this plant uses light energy to generate NADPH that is Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate and ATP that is Adenosine triphosphate, which carries energy and are used during dark phase.

Stage two: Dark reactions or Calvin cycle

It takes place in stroma and as the name suggests it is light independent process. In this phase ATP and NADPH are used to fix carbon into sugars.
