Area of a trapezoid is


A=(a+b)/(2)\cdot h

Where, a and b are length of parallel sides and h is the height of trapezoid.

Area of a trapezoid is


A_1=(24+14)/(2)* 8


A_1=19* 8


A_1=152

Therefore area of a trapezoid is 152.

The area of figure is twice of area of a trapezoid.


A=2* A_1=2* 152=304

Therefore the area of figure is 304 square unit.
