Answer:

B

Explanation:

rate of change (also known as 'slope') for Function 1: is 1/2 or 3/6

using the points (2, 1) and (4, 2) you can find the difference of the y-values and divide that by the difference of the x-values 2 - 1 = 1

4 - 2 2

rate of change for Function 2 is the coefficient of the x-value, which is 5/6

5/6 > 3/6

Answer:

B

Explanation:

In this the rate of change for function 1 is: 1/2

because 3-2 and/or 2-1 equal 1. So this will be the rise. 6-4 and/or 4-2 equal 2. So this will be the run.

We can represent slope/rate of change by rise over run therefore, the rate of change is 1/2

For function 2, we don't look at the y-intercept at all in this case. Now we already have the rate of change: 5/6

So now we can just compare fractions and see that 5/6 is greater because:

1/2 = 3/6

3/6 < 5/6

Hence, your answer is B.
