So actually when a female seahorse deposits up to 1,500 eggs in the male's pouch. The male carries those eggs for up to 9 to 45 days until the seahorses emerged fully developed, but still very tiny. The young ones are then released into the water, and then the male mates again (whoo that is a lot of mating& a lot of kids) within hours during the breeding season.
