Is 2(6 - 3x) + x equivalent to 2(3x) + x? EXPLAIN and show your work.

2(6-3x)+2(3x)+x

step by step

2x6=12 2x3X=6x + 2x3X=6x +2x

12+6x+6x+2x

=12+12x+2x

add the 12x + 2x =14x

the answer is 12+14x
