-4x+y = -6 rearranged to slope intercept form would be y = 4x-6 because slope intercept form is y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. Also, when the x has to swap to the other side of the equal sign, it will change from negative to positive, or vise versa. Then, 8x-2y = 14 would be y = 4x-7 because if you divide 8x, -2y, and 14 by -2 in order to isolate your y, the equation would turn into -4x+y = -7. Again, rearrange it to slope intercept form. Now that your equations are both in slope intercept form, you rewrite them without the ys. Which means, 4x-6 = 4x-7. However that is not true. To further explain, you can subtract 4x from each side of the equal sign, leving finally -6 = -7. And that is still not true. Therefore, the final answer would be no solution.
