You have been mining for gold and you have found a nugget and are about to be rich. The density of gold is 19.3 grams/cubic centimeter or g/cc. Your sample has a mass of 972 grams and is nearly a perfect cube, each side measuring 3 cm. Find the density of your sample and show work below.

density = mass / volume

density = mass / (l*w*h)

density = 972g / (3*3*3)

density = 972g / 27cm^3

density = 36g/cm^3
