The correct answer is "D".

The Somali civil war is an ongoing conflict going on in Somalia. The conflict initiated with an armed resistance led by Siad Barre against the dictatorship of the "Military Junta" during the decade of 1980. After Barre took power, he was confronted by clan-based opposition groups who eventually managed to overthrow him in 1991. Although the conflict has had a significant reduction in intensity, it is still active between the Islamic Courts Union and these clan-based militias.
