One of the principal consequence of demobilization directly following world war I were the changes in the economy, now the countries had to change a "war economy" into a "civil economy", the need to generate new jobs for the ones that came back from the war became a reality, and the government had to make decisions to answer that need.

1) goods that had been in short supply during the war became plentiful. 2) millions of jobs in defense industries were created. 3)unemployment was high and wages were falling. 4) farm prices were higher and crops made record profits for farmers. Hope this helps. :-)
