There is three pieces of evidence on how Antony's alliance, Lepidus, and Octavius can fail.

The first evidence can be seen when they devalue Lepidus' leadership and give him temporary power, when he could have done much more for the cause.

The second evidence appears when they decide to kill members of their own family, showing how disloyal, corrupt, malicious and untrustworthy they are.

The latter evidence can be seen when they show that they value money more than the tranquility of the Romans and therefore decide that they will not obey Cesar.
