Answer:

There are many different types of exercises for the elderly and disabled. The most important types of activities that should be done are aerobic, muscle strengthening, and flexibility. Aerobic exercises are the physical activity of low to high intensity. Some aerobic exercises include walking, jogging, biking, swimming, and much more. Muscle-strengthening on the other hand is exercises that make the muscles work harder. These exercises help increase strength and endurance. Some muscle-strengthening exercises include push-ups, squats, pull-ups, crunches, etc. Flexibility exercises are exercises that keep your muscles elastic and your joints moving freely. These exercises can be a range of motion or just simple stretching. Some of these activities may need equipment while others don’t. Muscle-strengthening exercises need equipment such as dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, and resistance bands. To perform aerobic exercises, you do not need different types of equipment. If you like to exercise at home, instead of walking or jogging around your neighborhood or at the park, you can walk and jog around your room or backyard. Same with flexibility exercises, you do not need different types of equipment to perform stretching. You can just stand up and reach for your toes and reach for the sky.
