Hello from MrBillDoesMath

Answer: - (-x + sqrt(11) + 5) (x + sqrt(11) - 5)

Discussion:

x^2 - 10x + 14 = -(-x + sqrt(11) + 5) (x + sqrt(11) - 5)

This was found by solving the original equation using the quadratic formula

ax^2 + bx + c = 0 =>

x = ( -b +\- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)) / 2a

In our case a = 1, b = -10, and c = 14. Substitute those values in the formula.

Thank you,

Mr. B
