- 16t² + 96t = 0 ( take out common factor - 16t )

- 16t(t - 6) = 0

equate each factor to zero and solve for t

- 16t = 0 ⇒ t = 0

t - 6 = 0 ⇒ t = 6

the maximum vertex is at the midpoint of the zeros
