Why do you think that Adam and Eve listenen to Satan’s assessment of the tree of knowledge and good and evil over God’s description of the Tree and his explanation of the punishment of eating from it?

Because Satan is a master of tricks and twisted God's words around. Humans were born with a nature to do what they want. All of this happened so that Jesus could come and save us from our sins.
