Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer: Yes, the answer is sqrt (53)

Discussion:

X = (-4,0), Y = (3,2)

The length of XY, via the Pythagorean theorem, is given by

sqrt ( (diff of x values)^2 + (diff of y values)^2)

In our case this becomes:

sqrt ( ( -4 - 3) ^ 2 + (0 - 2)^2 ) =

sqrt ( (-7)^2 + (-2)^2) ) =

sqrt ( 49 + 4 ) =

sqrt (53)

Thank you,

MrB
