Answer: x = -0.3, x = -25.8

Explanation:

(x + 25)(9x + 10) = 180

x(9x+10) + 25(9x+10) = 180

9x² + 10x + 225x + 250 = 180

9x² + 235x + 250 = 180

9x² + 235x + 70 = 0

a=9 b=235 c=70

Use Quadratic Formula to find the roots:
x = \frac{-b+/-\sqrt{b^(2)-4ac}}{2a}

x = \frac{-235+/-\sqrt{235^(2)-4(9)(70)}}{2(9)}

= (-235+/-√(55225-2520))/(18)

= (-235+/-√(52705))/(18)

= (-235+/-229.6)/(18)

=(-235+229.6)/(18) ,
=(-235-229.6)/(18)

= (-5.4)/(18) ,
(-464.6)/(18)

= -0.3 , -25.8
