In the laboratory you dissolve 24.6 g of calcium acetate in a volumetric flask and add water to a total of 250 ml. What is the M of the solution? The concentration of calcium cation? Concentration of acetate anion

Ca(C2H3O2)2

mole of calcium acetate = 24.6 / (40.1 + (2* (2*12+3*1+2*16)))

=0.156 mol

molarity = mole / volume = 0.156 / ((250cm^3/1000)dm^3) = 0.624M
