Answer:

Stones 7, 8, 11, 12, 13 and 14

Explanation:

Rigid motion describes a geometric transformation where all angles, sides, and the length/size of a shape is preserved. Meaning, a dilation is not a rigid motion.

A shape that can be mapped onto another shape is essentially the same shape on a different position on the plane. Shapes that can be mapped onto one another are congruent shapes (See below example)

The following stones are congruent :

  • 1 and 9
  • 2 and 4
  • 3 and 6
  • 5 and 10

The below stones have no corresponding shape:

  • 7
  • 8
  • 11
  • 12
  • 13
  • 14

Hope this assists you! Geometry can be frustrating. Have a nice day and spread the love!

Rigid motion is basically when something has moved but its size and shape stayed the same. The only thing that changes is its position. Using that fact.. I’d say it’s number 12 due to its weird shape. It doesn’t seem to fit with anything no matter what motion is used. Think of it as a puzzle
