There are mainly two types of luster. They are as follows-
(a) Metallic luster- When a mineral has a shiny appearance, then it is called a metallic luster. For example, Pyrite.
(b) Non-metallic luster- When a mineral does not have any shiny appearance, then it is regarded as a non-metallic luster. For example, Quartz.
