While driving down the road, this tiny hummingbird hit the windshield of a Maria's car. This is a clear case of Newton's third law of motion. The hummingbird hit the car and the car hit the hummingbird. Compare the force on both the hummingbird and the car's windshield (the hummingbird was unharmed).

A. The forces are equal and opposite.

B. The force on the hummingbird is greater.

C. The force on the windshield is greater.

D. The force of the hummingbird is less than that of the windshield.

The hummingbird hit the car and the car hit the hummingbird.

The forces are equal and opposite. (A)

It doesn't matter if the car ran into a mosquito, a bowling ball, or a battleship. The forces are equal and opposite.
