The Febuary Revolution in Russia started because the peasants were tired of being in WWI because it did not affect them, and resources were going to the war cause when they were starving. They just wanted peace, land, and bread. Russians were also tired of Tsar Nicholas II because he was an indecisive, bad ruler who preferred "gardening over governing."Tsar Nicholas II was overthrown and a Provisional Government was established. However, Lenin, leader of the Communist Party, was going around gaining supporters. The Bolsheviks, led by Lenin, overthrew the Russian Provisional Government, led by Kerensky, who's only accomplishment was pulling out of WWI. Lenin established the Bolshevik government after the October Revolutions.
