Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer: Choice "B", which is 3

Discussion:

The consecutive integers <= 7 are

1,2,3,4,5,6,7

4 is the largest number in this list that makes sense in this problem (for example, 5 + 6 > 7, 7 + 6 > 7 don't satisfy the problem)

1 + 2 = 3 <= 7

2 + 3 = 5 <= 7

3 +4 = 7 <=7 (*)

The lesser integer in the last equation (*) is 3

Thank you,

MrB
