Answer:

The length is 12 meters.

Explanation:

let us consider that the width be x.

length is 2 meters more than twice its width means:

Length= 2x + 2

Breadth= x

Since Parameter of Rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

Putting values. We get

2[(2x + 2) + x] = 34

Dividing both sides by '2'

2x + 2 + x = 17

3x = 17-2

3x = 15

Dividing both sides by '3'.

x = 5

Hence,

Breadth = x = 5 meters

Length = 2x + 2 = 2(5) + 2 = 12 meters
