A pond contains 1000 fish, 100 of which have been tagged. You catch 10 fish. How many of the fish would you expect to be tagged? A. 0 B. 1 C. 5 D. 10

Explanation:

The total number of fishes are 1000. Out of those 1000 fishes only 100 are tagged.

Explanation:

Total fish = 1000, tagged fish = 100. Thus the ratio of tagged fish to total fish is 100:1000 i.e. 10

Now if out of 1000 fish, 100 are tagged

Out of 10, no of fish that will be tagged is
=(100)/(1000)* {10}=1

Thus 1 fish will be tagged out of 100.
