The juncture between bones in an amphiarthrosis can be formed in two ways:

1. When the bones are joined and connected by fibrocartilage and it is than called a symhysis. The example is inferior articulation of the two hip bones.

2. When the contiguous bones are connected by connective tissue and it is then called interosseous membrane. The example is tibia and fibula connections.
