there are three parts to the equation,

10 is the starting value, .6 is the amount it changes, and x is the interval it changes on, which is consistent through equations. As x gets higher, the answer itself gets smaller.

10 * .6^1 = 6

10 * .6 ^2 = 3.6

Also, one can see that it will decay because it is less than 1.
