Answer:

5=x

Explanation

to start off youll need to use PEMDAS (parenthesis exponents multiplication division addition and subtraction)

we will now need to start off with parenthesis, since we can not add variables with constants we will multiply 3 times 6 and 3 times 2x rewrite the problem

32=4x-18+6x simplify by combining like terms. in order to combine like terms you will have to switch -18 and positive 6x. rewrite the problem

32=4x+6x-18 combine like terms. simplify again

32=10x-18 now we are going to try to isolate the variable. add 18 to both sides your going to add 18 because you are going to want to cancel out -18. write it out.

32+18=10x-18+18 simplify

50=10x now to isolate the variable you are going to divide by 10 from both sides rewrite the equation

50/10=10x/10 simplify

5=x

Answer:

x = -25.

To solve for X you first have to do -3(6 + 2x). That gives you 32 = 4x - 18 - 6x. Then you combine like terms to get 32 = -2x - 18. To simplify things, we can now divide everything by 2 to get:

16 = -x - 9. Then you simply have to add 9 to both sides to get:

-x = 25. Then you divide by -1 on both sides to get:

x = -25.
