5/6 d = -15? I don't understand

(5)/(6) d = - 15
First you have to simplify 5/6d to 5d/6 as shown below

(5)/(6) d = (5d)/(6)
Then multiple both sides by 6 because you are trying to solve for d

5d = - 15 * 6
Multiply -15 and 6 to get -90

5d = - 90
Divide -90 by 5

d = ( - 90)/(5)

d = - 18
Then if you check it, it will give you -15 as your answer

(5)/(6) * - 18 = - 15

(5 * - 18)/(6) = - 15

( - 90)/(6) = - 15

- 15 = - 15
