What is the solution to the equation 8x−6(x−2)−22=10+2x

Answer: No Solution

Work:

8x-6(x-2)-22=10+2x Multiply what’s in the parenthesis by -6
8x-6x-12-22=10+2x Combine like terms
2x-24=10+2x Subtract both sides by 2x
-24=10.
No Solution

It is no solution because if you subtract 2x from 2x it equals 0, and if there is no x then there is no variable meaning no solution.
