Answer:The perimeter of the rectangle is
(47)/(3) inch or 15.66 inch.

Explanation:

Length of strip (I) =
2(1)/(2) inch=(5)/(2)inch

Length of strip (II) =
5(1)/(3) inch=(16)/(3) inch

According to question two strips of length
1 inch and two strips of lenght
(5)/(3) inch is used in making rectangle:

Perimeter of rectangle = Sum of all sides of rectangle

Perimeter of rectangle =
(5)/(2) inch+(5)/(2) inch +(16)/(3) inch+(16)/(3) inch=(47)/(3) inch

The perimeter of the rectangle is
(47)/(3) inch or 15.66 inch.
