The numbers would be 14 and 25 because 25-14=11 and 25+14=39

Answer:

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer: 25, 14

Discussion:

Let the first number be "m" and the second number "n". Then

m + n = 39

m - n = 11

Adding these equations gives:

(m+n) + (m-n) = 39 +11 =>

(m+m) + (n-n) = 39 + 11 =>

2m = 50 =>

m = 25

Substituting this value in m+n = 39, gives 25 + n = 39, so n = 39-25 = 14

Thank you,

MrB
