James and Sarah went out to lunch. The price of lunch for both of them was $60. they tipped 10% of that amount. How much did each pay if they shared the price of lunch and the tip equally?

Answer:

$33

Explanation:

tip = lunch * 10 percent

tip = 60* .10 = 6

total cost= lunch + tip

total cost =60+6 = 66

since there are 2 people

to share the cost equally, divide by 2

66/2 = 33

they will each pay 33
