"A ramp rises 1.5 feet for every 18 feet of horizontal distance it covers. Find the rate of change (slope) of the ramp."

Please help me, I'm stuck...

Slope is rise over run (in a coordinate plane, y over x), so you rise 1.5 ft (1.5/ ) for every 18 ft horizontally (1.5/18). So your slope is 1.5/18
