1- a. The lines 2x+1 and 2x-3 do not intersect because even though they start at different y intercepts, the slope of the lines (2) is the same, so they will never intersect each other.

1- b. You must set both of the equations equal to each other

2x - 3 = 2x +1 then solve for x

x=0 then plug it back in to the equation

2(0) -3 = -3

2(0) + 1 = 1

1- c. They relate to each other because since the lines do not intersect each other, then they will not have any values that are equal to each other, as shown in problem 1-b..
