16-5−3p=2/3p+5-5

11 -3p= 2/3 p

add 3p to each side

11 -3p+3p= 2/3 p+3p

11 = 3 2/3 p

change the mixed number to an improper fraction

3 2/3 = (3*3+2)/3 = 11/3

11 = 11/3p

multiply by 3/11 to clear the fraction
