Explanation:

−2 2/ 5 * −3 5/6

change the mixed numbers to improper fractions

-2 2/5 = - (5*2+2)/5 = -12/5

-3 5/6 = -(6*3+5)/6 = -23/6

-12/5 * -23/6

rewrite so we can cancel

-12/6 * -23/5

-2*23/5

-46/5

now change it back to a mixed number

5 goes into 46 9 times (9*5 =45) with 1 left over

9 1/5
