Explanation:

First we note that , from the last sentence, the number of pennies must be a multiple of 7.

A good starting point is to find the Lowest Common Multiple of 2,3,5 and 6.

This is 30 and if there's 1 left over after the grouping the answer would be 31 but this cant be right as its not a multiple of 7.

So the number will be of the form 30n + 1 = 7m where n and m are whole numbers.

The only way I can think of solving this is by trial and error. Start with n = 2, then 3 etc , adding 1 then seeing if the result is a multiple of 7.

Grabbing my calculator I'll get going!!! lol!!

Yeah n = 10 fits the bill because 301 is a multiple of 7.

Answer 301.
