Hi Pupil Here is your answer

Concept of Momentum =》 When a small piece of stone is dropped from a small height on a glass pane placed on a table, it does not break the glass panes, while heavy stone is dropped from the same height the glass pane brakes Here the small and heavy stones has the same velocity when they fall off on the glass pane.

So, the above example shows that the effect of motion of a body depends both on its mass and velocity.

Definition : Momentum of a body is equal to the product of mass (m) of the body and the velocity (v) of the body.

It is denoted by P

Momentum = Mass × Velocity

P = mv
