"2. Emily often drinks too much, especially at parties. She has gotten two DUI tickets after leaving parties. She is also in danger of losing her job because she often misses work on Monday due to a hangover after partying on the weekend." Specific diagnosis? Class of desorder?

The specific diagnosis for Emily's case is alcohol dependence. Alcohol dependence is classified as a substance abuse disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-III).

Alcohol dependency can be identified in behavior such as:

  • Failure to fulfill major responsibilities at home, work, or school
  • Drinking in hazardous situations, such driving under the influence
  • Drinking that leads to recurring legal problems
  • Continued drinking despite ongoing relationship problems that are caused or worsened by drinking

The right answer for the first question..

Specific diagnosis? Alcoholism, diagnosis made from the before actions mentioned, Emily hasn't done the correct schedule for a normal non-alcoholic worker, that tries to effort to get good comments at the job or worries about the abstens

instead of that Emily preffers to asists to social events that don't offer anything useful for her life

As it as mentioned before, these actions are also the synthoms of what is the most common desorder that makes all those actions, the right answe is depression, people tries to hide problems with alcohol, and if they don't stop it will become a dangerous addiction.
