Hey! I'm jordan :D

regular cells in your body have 23 pairs making up a total of 46 chromosomes, this is a diploid.

gametes or sperm and egg cells only have a set 23 chromosomes, this is a haploid cell.

when the two haploid cells combine they make a diploid which is a mix of the two sets of chromosomes.

hope this helped :)

have an awesome day!
