Although he was hostile to the nobility in his youth, Napoleon was brought up with the sense of nobility

Napoleon’s father is elected deputy of the nobility of Corsica and will be received on two occasions by King Luis XVI.

At 10 years old Napoleon, gets a scholarship from the King and is admitted at the Royal School of Brienne where he will stay 5 years.

True to his values as Emperor of the French, Napoleon will create titles of nobility to grant the elite in the empire.
