-2/9 is greater than -4/9.

Because: since both numbers are negatives, then the one that is the closest to zero, is bigger.

Greater than! With negative numbers, the number closer to 0 is always the greater value. The number farther away from 0 is the lesser value. When we compare fractions with the same denominator, we have to compare to numerator. -2 is greater than -4, therefore -2/9 is greater than -4/9.
