You need to use sin for this; sin = opposite/hypotenuse

You have the hypotenuse(7) but you want to find the opposite side length(y).

Thus you will have sin(30) = y/7

You then multiply 7 on both sides to cancel out the division and get it on the other side.

7*sin(30) = (y/7) *7

Result: 7sin(pi/6)

** If you are wondering where the sin(30) went it is that sin(30) and sin(pi/6) are the same thing.
