The Constitutional Convention was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from May 14 to September 17, 1787. The convention was organized in order to discuss the Articles of Confederation, and whether these should be revised. During this convention, the Virginia Plan, the New Jersey Plan and the Three-fifths Compromise were all discussed. All of these plans addressed an important topic: how states were to be represented in the legislature.
