0^(0) which is undefined.

Answer: 1, exception 0⁰ = 0

Explanation:

Any number or variable ≠ 0 with an exponent of 0 equals 1

Why? Look at the pattern below:

2³ = 8

2² = 8÷2 = 4

2¹ = 4÷2 = 2

2⁰ = 2÷2 = 1

2⁻¹ = 1/2

2⁻² = (1/2) ÷2 = 1/4

This pattern works for ALL numbers, except 0

0⁰ = 0
