This democratic disturbance of the teacher-centered classroom confirms a primary goal of shared authority: to restructure education into something done by and with students rather than by the teacher for and over them”-Ira Shor. What does this quote mean to you and what will it mean to you as you envision your classroom? (Be specific. I should be able to clearly see your vision)

This quote means that the traditional teacher-centered classroom is being disrupted by a more democratic approach that empowers students. This shift will mean that students will have more control over their education and will be more engaged in the learning process. As I envision my classroom, I will create a learning environment that is democratic and student-centered, where students feel empowered to direct their own learning.

Hope this helps :)
