Azul has 4 green picks and no orange picks. You add orange picks so that there are 2 orange picks for ever 1 green pick. How many picks are there now?

Answer:

Altogether, there should be 12 picks

Explanation:

So first of all, the main bits you should really focus on is that there are going to be 2 orangs picks for every 1 green pick. Then you can multiply 4 and 2 since there are 4 green picks. Lastly, you add 8 and 4 together to get 12 picks altogether. Also there are 8 orange picks and 4 green picks in total if I didn't understand the last sentence.
