First, expand:

-3x-12x-9 = 96

Simplify:

-15x-9 = 96

Add 9 to both sides:

-15x = 105

Divide both sides by -15:

x = -7

Answer:

-7

Explanation:

-3x-(3(4x)+3(3))=96

-3x-(12x+9)=96

-3x-12x-9=96

-15x-9=96

-15x-9=96

Add +9 to -9 and add +9 to 96

-15x+105

(-15x)/(-15) =(105)/(-15)

(15x)/(15)= (105)/(-15)

x= (105)/(-15)

x=-7
